Be. Leadership completed its third year on 16 November with a crowd of over 120 people celebrating the persistence and achievement of the 2013 participants at the Auckland Art Gallery.
Don't miss your chance to join the movement to lead a 100% accessible New Zealand as we are still accepting applications for the 2014 programme.
The Be. Leadership Programme
Be. Leadership is a one-year programme that strengthens and promotes a cohesive and significant accessibility-focussed leadership community. It is an intensive programme, which has been designed to suit the diversity of the access community.
- Develop new frames of thinking around leadership through challenging conversations with leaders
- Develop self-awareness and personal leadership skills
- Build long-term relationships that will continue to develop learning
- Develop skills and networks to promote career paths and civic engagement
It provides one year (21 programme days) of learning about the issues of importance to New Zealand and New Zealanders through a series of conversations and discussions with established leaders.
Up to 20 participants with a range of access needs, and from diverse ethnic, geographic and sector perspectives are selected though an application process to participate in a year of robust and stimulating conversation, inquiry and reflection. It is a year of learning through listening, questioning, and exploring different perspectives. The richness of opportunity is immediate and the leadership lessons are unique to the participants.
Be. Leadership has a current and past alumni community of 50 people. This group is at the forefront of creating change in accessibility throughout the country.
