#44 Yoga for All

Our wonderful friend, Be. Accessible champion, and yoga guru, Edit Horvath, is holding a 'Yoga for All' Workshop in Auckland on Saturday 22 September.

Whatever your age or current physical state, yoga can improve your overall health. Moving your body, focusing your mind and opening your soul transforms your life. Yoga's many benefits include stress management, breathing efficiency, awareness, bone strength, and improved posture just to name a few.

And you don't have to be young, flexible or experienced to do it! Edit can teach you yoga postures that are modified and specific to you and your needs. Yoga can be adapted to benefit older people, those with temporary injuries, wheelchair-users and those with very limited mobility. There are no boundaries!

So head along and hear about the benefits and magic of yoga and try restorative and chair yoga.

Location: Disability Resource Centre, 14 Erson Avenue, Royal Oak, Auckland (fully accessible)
Time: 10:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday 22 September 2012
Entry: Gold coin donation / koha

Also see below for some images from our Christmas yoga special with Edit last year! We are certainly a mixed bunch, and she caters to all our abilities.

You can also support Edit in AMP's 'Do Your Thing' award where she has applied for funding to teach yoga to those with disabilities. Click here to vote
