#64 Breaking down the Barriers

For many of us in the workforce, having a job which is both professionally   satisfying and personally meaningful is the ideal. Yet for people with disabilities or other barriers to employment, getting work at all can be the biggest challenge. Breaking down that barrier is one of the subjects being explored at The Real Value Inclusive Life Choices Conference in Wellington this week.

This exciting event, at Te Papa today and tomorrow, brings together an inspirational group of role models and thought leaders to shine a light on the value of people with disabilities and other barriers to employment.

Delegates are exploring the theme of ‘Money, Meaning, Livelihood’ through a ‘working consensus’ of thought and practice to show how inclusive life choices can benefit the New Zealand economy and wider community.

Creating fresh dialogues about employment for people with disabilities is a focus of the conference, and joining the conversation are Be.Accessible’s CEO, Minnie Baragwanath, and Be.Leadership Programme Director, Lesley Slade.

Be.Accessible is proud to support this event as a Real Values Conference partner.
