Accessibility in Excellence - the AUT Business Support Awards

5th October 2016

At the AUT Business Support AwardsCongratulations to Fab 50 member Sarah Trotman and the rest of the team from the AUT Business School Excellence in Business Support Awards- this event has been awarded a platinum Be. Welcome rating for outstanding accessibility for the second year running. What a fantastic achievement!

The event has been assessed for accessibility for four years in a row, and the AUT team continue to grow the accessibility of the event year after year. Be. Welcome Relationship Manager Kylie Shirtliff says that accessibility considerations have now been built into the event planning, and that collaborating with the AUT event team has become a seamless process.

The assessment of the event looks at a wide range of considerations, from the invitations and programmes, ease of registration, map of the venue, seating plan, signage, NZSL interpretation and hearing loop.

The AUT Business School Excellence in Business Support Awards celebrate excellence across ten diverse business support sectors ranging from technology and export support to not-for-profit, government and sales and marketing.

We'd like to congratulate our friends at Jasmax, who we've enjoyed working with on some great projects. Jasmax provide architecture, interior, landscape and urban design services throughout the country and were recognised with the award for Excellence in Business Support in the large business category.

What is also special about this evening is that not only does AUT model accessibility leadership with this event, but they also champion the importance of access to the more than 600 guests from government, academic and business sectors who come together to honour the winners of the 2016 AUT Business School Excellence in Business Support Awards.

Keep up the great work AUT- we love working with you!
