#67 Universal Design

Congratulations to Lifemark, the Barrier Free Trust and other key partners Auckland Council and Christchurch Council for two very successful conferences on Universal Design last Friday in Auckland, and in Christchurch on Monday. It was great to hear from such provocative speakers and thinkers from around New Zealand and beyond.

Our CEO Minnie ran a session at the Auckland conference and most of the team at Be. managed to get across the road to the Aotea Centre to attend some of the sessions.

Megan, our strategic partnerships wunderkind, attended the Christchurch conference and says the highlight was learning more about Anthony Gough's mission to make his latest project, The Terrace, the most accessible destination in central Christchurch.

"Anthony’s ambition for an environment that is enjoyable and accessible for everyone is an inspiration for the region, and for other players in the building and design sector. Great stuff."

In March, Anthony's big plans for Christchurch featured in a Fairfax NZ News story which you can read here www.stuff.co.nz/business/8402989/Christchurchs-Mr-Personality
