Meet the Be. Dream Team

29th June 2016

Every year as part of the Leadership Week the Sir Peter Blake Trust organise events throughout the country inspiring Kiwi kids to follow their dreams. The Dream Team is the group of over 350 New Zealand leaders who visit schools all over New Zealand, telling their own stories, encouraging school children to dream big and to connect their dreams to action!

As in previous years we are proud to share that a number of our Be. Leadership Alumni are joining this group of leaders, inspiring young New Zealanders to take leadership, take action, and (the theme of Leadership Week for 2016) to #believeyoucan

We asked Juliana Carvahlo Dos Santos, Sarah Mitchell and Wayne Forrest what motivated them to get involved, and what being involved with the Dream Team means to them:

Juliana Carvalho dos SantosJuliana Carvahlo Dos Santos will be speaking at Glenfield Intermediate. This is what getting involved in the dream team means to her:

I'm a believer and I love to inspire people to become believers too, we have infinite possibilities to achieve whatever we dream about.

The theme for this year #believeyoucan is an expression of how our thoughts and beliefs can dramatically affect the results we get in life. We have an immense power to achieve whatever we dream if we truly believe we can.

Sarah MitchellSarah Mitchell will be visiting the kids at Remuera Intermediate. She told us:

I wanted to show the importance of having a goal, the right attitude and the unending possibilities of being able of a dream.

#believeyoucan is all about how an individual’s ability to realise their personal dreams and potential are only limited by the fears and obstacles of others – if you can dream it you can do it!

Wayne ForrestWayne Forrest, taking part for the 4th year in a row will be speaking at Central Hawkes Bay College and Havelock North High School, said:

I love sharing what I have learned and if I can help inspire anyone to make a life they love, that is just awesome.

#believeyoucan means anything is possible, it is about you believing it is!
