1 in 4 New Zealanders live with an access need of some sort. By the time we are 65 years old, 50% of us have at least one age related impairment. 40% of disabled people of a working age are either unemployed or underemployed, yet 75% of those need no extra support to work. In fact, every one of us is likely to have an access need at some point in our lives through ageing, parenthood, accident or temporary and permanent disability.
We have the ability to change our future and the future of the next generation of children growing up with dyslexia, autism, asperger’s, blindness, mental illness, learning disability, cerebral palsy, an eating disorder, or any other access need. But we need your help to continue our work and meet the demand we are receiving!
If you believe in accessibility and would like to support our work, please donate what you can. Your investment will help us to innovate and grow our reach, making positive change happen even faster!
