We are calling for expressions of interest for the role of CEO at Be., and for non-executive directors on the Be. Board.

Kerridge & Partners is working alongside Be. in the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Board Directors.  

This is an exciting opportunity to support Be. in achieving its goal of creating a nation where everyone can thrive.

CEO

The Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for bringing to life Be.’s vision and direction, as set out in the strategic plan, in order to deliver outstanding outcomes for the access/disabled community. In doing so, the CEO must effectively collaborate and communicate with the Board, Be. team members, business partners, and the wider access community. Furthermore, they must maintain and develop strategic relationships across both the public and private sectors.

As a hands-on and engaging leader, the CEO will foster a positive organisational culture of leadership to ensure that each member of the Be. team is empowered to reach their full potential.  

The ideal candidate will possess:  

  • An innovative and strategic approach;  
  • Commercial nous and a strong focus on growth;  
  • Skilled communicator and able to inspire others;
  • Experience in leading teams;  
  • Ideally, a lived experience of disability and a passion for social change and the accessibility sector.  

Directors

Be. is looking to appoint Non-Executive Directors who will play a pivotal role in supporting and enabling Be. to deliver outstanding outcomes for the access community, and by extension the nation. As a Director of Be. you must be able to effectively articulate Be.’s vision and leverage existing networks in order to engage with key stakeholders within Aotearoa’s business community – increasing the visibility of Be.’s commercial offerings.

The ideal candidates will possess:  

  • An innovative, ambitious approach and commercial nous;  
  • Experience in leading and operating within either commercial or not-for-profit organisations;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to deal with a range of communication styles and personality traits, working from frontline to boardrooms across the nation;  
  • Ideally, a lived experience of disability and a passion for social change and the accessibility sector.
